A network of DSI-using scientists around the world
The DSI Scientific Network was created in 2020. It now brings together more than 90 experts, from more than 27 countries from all continents and from diverse DSI research contexts.
The Networks aims to help give the research community a voice in ongoing international policy discussions on digital sequence information (DSI) on genetic resources.
We contribute to policymakers’ and other stakeholders’ understanding of DSI, its applications and its contributions to research, biodiversity conservation, food security and public health.
We meet regularly and actively engage in the DSI discussion across multiple UN fora. We coordinate outreach, organize webinars and develop policy briefs and other information material to inform policy processes.
